The Sit Down

When I think about my journey, I think about the hard work, sacrifice, and dedication that brought me to this seat at the table.

The wins. The losses. The lessons learned along the way.

It all brings me to this moment. A moment where time pauses for a while and I can reflect.

In times like this, I light the leaf and let the smoke tell its story. The burn is slow, the flavor is full, and for a while, nothing else matters. Every draw is a reminder of the road less traveled and what comes with it.

Not every man understands it. But the ones who do, know what I mean…

I savor these moments. Maybe by myself. Maybe with a few I trust at the table. Either way, it’s a reminder of how far we’ve come and what’s still left to build.

This is for the people I carry on my shoulders. The ones who couldn’t be here today, but whose lessons remain. This is for my legacy.
